Skill Performance
- Due May 4 by 11:59pm
- Points 70
- Submitting a text entry box, a website url, a media recording, or a file upload
This part of the class we demonstrate our skill by performing/demonstrating proper form and alignment in our postures/asanas, (including floor, seated and standing postures), according to our level in yoga. By this time in the course, you should know how to adapt the yoga postures to your body, level of fitness/flexibility, injuries, and/or personal goals.
Directions
Choose two yoga postures (asanas). Explain how you adapt the posture to your level of flexibility, any injuries, or personal goals.
- List the English name
- Sanksrit name
- Explain three alignment cues for each posture
- Explain if you adapted the posture to your level of flexibility, injuries, or personal goals. Any contraindications or cautions?
- Demonstrate proper form and alignment
Send in a video of you demonstrating the two poses and describing the above five instructions for each one. Videos should be 1-3 minutes in length. Feel free to write it down and speak the written part then demonstrate the pose. Have fun, it does NOT need to be perfect!
