Week 1
Now that you've learned a little about Behance.net. Let's practice navigating the site and exploring Illustrators, know that you will be using this chosen illustrator to inspire a design for your week 2 discussion contribution.
- Share an image of a chosen illustrator's work on this discussion board and include a link to the artist's profile. Use this link to Behance Links to an external site. to search for an illustrator. You can use screenshots of their images.
- Briefly describe the type of work this creative professional is doing (3 sentences) by describing the subject matter (content), the style of illustration (description, for instance realistic, manga, geometric, simple) and whether this artist seems to be illustrating for a particular client-base.
- Look at two of your peers' posts and offer feedback in the three areas listed above. Meaning, comment on either content, style or client-base. Assist your peers in developing a better understanding of one of these, through elaboration of what the peer already posted.
Week 2
- Create an illustration inspired by the style and characteristic of the artist you've elected to highlight from week 1.
- Illustration Parameters: Create letter-sized design that includes a simple illustration inspired by the artist you shared last week. The illustration just has to fit comfortably in an 8.5x11" page.
- Export your design as a JPG to share in the discussion and resize to 750 pixels in width.
- Post your illustration as a reply to your initial discussion post.
- Share what tools you used to create your illustration.
- Ask a peer 1 question about their shared designs and how they achieved their illustration.
