Web Typography ExamplesYou can see in the slide above some samples of Verdana and Georgia which have been especially designed as screen fonts. They are legible typefaces and easy to read (as long as you don't break other readability rules!!) Now look at the sample of colored type on the slide. Notice how difficult it is to read the blue type against the black background. The serif typeface is particularly hard to read! Check out this web site. What readability rules do you think this page breaks?! Are there any it DOESN'T break?!! How about this page? What is wrong with the readability here? |
