Project 2: Restaurant Project Templates and Assets

Instructions on how to use the mockups:

To use the Photoshop mockups provided, do the following:

Download the templates to your hard drive
Open one of the templates (e.g. laptop one)
Display the LAYERS panel
Locate the layer that says "Put your image here" or something like that (notice that it has a little icon next to the image on that layer)
Double click to open that layer in its own window (it is a smart object)
Open your laptop design in a new window in Photoshop. Drag this window (grab the window frame at the top) to the side of the Smart Object you just opened in the window.
Click on the selection tool and DRAG your laptop image from its existing window into the Smart Object/mockup window. (Note: you can also do File > Place Embedded to import the jpeg)
When you see it appear in the layer palette for the smart object. Drag it to the correct position (there should be a layer that tells you where to put your image)
Save the Smart Object file and close it
Go back to the original mockup and you should see your laptop image in the mockup of the laptop!!
Then smile... You will feel like a real designer!!
Do the same for the mobile design... (The mobile design template may require you to insert the image directly into the template file right above the green box and then select Create Clipping Mask to clip your jpeg to the green box.
