Course Syllabus

Welcome to ASL 1, section 0066 (T & TH, 11 am to 1 pm)

Please make sure to READ and REVIEW the entire syllabus as soon as you can before the first class begins, the syllabus contains important information on required materials, grading, and assignments to help you to succeed in the course. On the first day of the class which is very important for you to show up and I will explain everything with the interpreters. Yes, I will provide the interpreters on the first day of the class. 

After you read the syllabus, please find the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SIGNATURE FORM on the last page of the syllabus and have it submitted with PDF into the canvas. Your questions on the first day of the class are more than welcome to ask, please feel free to ask. And I am here to help.

For your first assignment, it is called Reflective Summary #1 as known as RS#1. The assignment is called American Deaf Culture Quiz and there is an instruction for RS#1 that you will need to read first before start working on first assignment. 

Again, if you have any questions, please do bring it up on our first day of the class.

Again, I would encourage you to read the syllabus and I also encourage you to take an American Deaf Culture Quiz (RS#1) in the ASSIGNMENTS under the module in canvas. That has to be done before the first day of the class begins. Do not worry if you get many wrong, it means you are in a right place to take this course by learning on language, culture, history, and many more.
