HW#2 on 3/10

After reading chapters 12-14 in H & W, and completing all work in Class Notes # 4 & 5, answer the following questions:

1.  Describe the living and working conditions of immigrants in the late 1800s and early 1900s.  

2.  Explain the events of the Lawrence textile strike of 1912.  Be sure to focus on the role that women played.

3.  What impact did Alice Paul on the suffrage movement?

This will be worth a possible 15 points.   Be sure to cite at least one assigned source in each of your answers.   This total work should be 400-600 words long.

I will accept late work until 3/14, with a 5 point deduction.
