Discussion 3 - Living Abroad?

Topic: International Business

This week's chapter talks about International Business, the drive for International Trade, International Trade Barriers, and the Types of International Business in today's environment.  It is more and more common for business professionals to gain international experience in a foreign country.

How would you feel if your company asked you to move to a different country to help your career? What countr(ies) would you be excited about?  What country(ies) would you not be excited about?  Discuss the different factors (family, salary, future growth, personal experience, etc) you would be considering.

Purpose: This discussion addresses these module goals:

• Understand the role cultural differences play in international business
• Explain the types of International Business and what that means for a career in business
