Icebreaker: WordART Exchange

Welcome! We will be working together for the next several weeks, so let's start the class by getting to know each other.

Please create a WordART (https://wordart.com/ Links to an external site.) or other "Word Cloud" that contains your interests, goals, personality traits, etc. and share it with the class. Then, browse the WordART and find two people with whom you have common interests; let them know in a written response. Lastly, find someone who has an interest or goal you know nothing about and ask questions.

By the end of this exercise you should have a strong sense of the personalities and interests of our online community, which is the foundation for the ongoing interactions you will have. Knowledge of your common interests will also allow to to locate peers to work with and assist as we share our ideas and writing this semester. 

How to upload:

When you click "Reply" to the WordART Icebreaker discussion, you have a few options to insert your image. Firstly, you can click "Attach" in the bottom left; notice the paperclip image next to it. From there you can select a photo file from your computer or device. You can also embed an image by clicking "Embed Image" on the top taskbar - that is the small icon that looks like mountains.
