Overview: For this week's homework, you will look at world wide data on vaccinations You will answer some questions, write a personal response, and come up with 1 discussion question. Note - you should complete the Writing Discussion Questions Quiz before beginning this assignment.
Goal: In the past, we have focused on reading articles, but for this week, you will look at data and practice reading and interpreting graphs. This also is an important college skills that can improve over time. The goal is to learn more about Covid world wide.
1. Instructions:
Go to the section of Our World in Data: Vaccines Links to an external site. and scroll down until you find this title and graphic. Read the paragraph and answer the questions about the graphic
2. Questions: for each of the following diseases, answer the questions below
- Measles, mumps, pertussis (whooping cough), Acute Polio, smallpox, hepatitis
- When do you think the vaccine was introduced
- How many cases were there per million per year before the vaccine and after the vaccine?
- How many deaths were there per million per year before the vaccine and after the vaccine?
