The goal of our microgreens project was to learn more about the process of science ( and grow some plants along the way). Please answer the following questions.
- What was our hypothesis ? Remember, a hypothesis will include the statement ‘’because”. microgreen seedlings get nutrients from the cotyledons not the soil.
- Prediction: if your hypothesis was true, what did you predict would happen? the microgreens grown in vermiculite would yield the same as those grown in soil. ( or with soil + fertilizer)

- This should include a table with the analyzed data ( i.e. the averages, not the raw numbers), as well as the graph that you made.
- Could also calculate the % difference in growth
- A few sentences summarizing what your graph depicts.
- INIWIRMO : Summarize your observations of the microgreens over the two weeks.
- INIWIRMO :What are 2 questions that you posed about the microgreens over the course of these two weeks
- INIWIRMO :What are 2 connections that you can make to other agricultural or biological phenomenon.
- Conclusion about hypothesis: these should be full sentences with information to back up your statement.

- What were some questions that we had about our experimental set up?
- Were there any confounding factors/bias in our methods?
- What evidence is there that the confounding factor you proposes is a good explanation for our data?
- What does this experiment tell us about photosynthesis and light?
- What does this tell us about the biology of the microgreens or plants in general?
- Next Steps: We made observations over the course of the experiment. Was there anything that jumped out at you about the growth of the two different treatments? What are other factors that you think impact the yield from the microgreen containers? What would you suggest that next semester’s students investigate?
