Digestive Enzymes
Enzymes help speed up chemical reactions in living organisms. Digestive enzymes are a specific category that speed up the break down of the biomolecules into their monomers. We must break down the large biomolecules into their monomers so that they are small enough to be absorbed across the wall of the small intestine into the blood stream.
