Writing Assignment: Informal Proposal Letter due: July 17

Scenario:  Proposals are offers to a very specific audience whose business you are soliciting. Imagine that you are going to start your own business (or maybe you already own one!). Think of a product or service that you would like to sell, or, or know something about. On the Web research the products/services that you are interested in selling and study the market for the product(s) so that you understand going rates, prices and costs. Then respond to the following prompts.

Instructions: After completing the module reading and viewing the lecture slides, choose a product/service that you would like to offer to a particular audience; this can be any newer product or service. Then, write an informal proposal letter (minimum, 2 pages single-spaced) promoting your product/service with the following headings:

1. Introduction
2. Background
3. Proposal, plan, schedule
4. Staffing
5. Budget
6. Conclusion
7. In letter format
