Due July 21 at 11:59 pm. Read chapters 13-15 in your textbook, read all documents (especially the Tang Dynasty Document), review your notes and watch all the videos to complete this assignment.

1. Follow the homework guidelines and example found in the Useful Information Module and write well-developed paragraphs. Your total assignment should be between 500-800 words.
2. Number your answers so I can give you proper credit. This is a writing assignment worth 10 points.
3. Answer the following questions, each answer needs to be about a paragraph long:

1. Who are they Uighurs and why do they represent such a major problem for China?

2. What are some of the major issues that make it difficult for China to defend itself?

3. What is the solution that is recommended? If you were the emperor, what would you do? Heed the advice? Why or why not?

4. What military advantages explain the ability of the nomadic Mongols to defeat the large armies of established states?

5. How did the Mongol conquests increase regional exchange of goods, ideas, organisms, etc. Who gained the most from this exchange and who lost the most?

Students will critical thinking questions relating to the Tang Dynasty in China.
