Directions: Write two posts, first answer the questions, and then respond to a classmate
Post # 1: For your Initial Post click on the reply button below. Introduce yourself to other members of the course by answering these questions:
- Who are you?
- If you could be a fictional character, who would you be and why?
- What is your college major? Or are you still working on it?
- Why are you taking this course?
- What is one thing or topic that fascinates you about History or you would like to learn more about?
- Do you think knowing our History is important for the future of our society? Why or why not?
For instance, you could say:
My name is Miles Morales, I am from Santa Rosa, CA. My favorite cartoon when I was little was Spider Man, so I would love to be like him because he is smart, brave, and he can swing through the city to beat traffic! I am a chemistry major. I am taking this course for general ed and because it sounds fun -- I've always been interested in history, and I find the history of Japan fascinating, but I've never had an actual course on the subject. So I'm looking forward to the learning more about history.
As far as what I find fascinating about history[.....your personal experience/interest related to the topic, and what would you like to learn about the topic in the course].
I think History is important for our future because it tells us about our past and we can see the direction that our society is taking...
