Discussion Module 10

Topic:

Learning more about organic and GMO foods. 

Objectives:

1-Examine and discuss claims related to nutrition myths; apply course principles to justify criticism of unfounded claims and practices
2-Develop an ongoing incentive and ability to gather and apply information related to good
health and a high quality of life
Directions:

For this week's discussion find one online resource for learning more about Organic or GMO foods.  It can be a website, a journal article, an article from the paper or magazine, a video such as a TED talk or something on you tube.  

The resource should meet the standards that we talked about in Chapter 1 such as a reliable place for information, not selling a product, who is providing the information and what are their credentials, etc. 

In your initial post due by Wednesday at 11:59 pm tell us:

1. Why did you choose this as a resource? 

2. What can someone learn at this site?  What is one thing you learned about Organic or GMO foods from this resource?

3. Can you trust this information? Why or why not?

4. Do have any other questions about Organic and GMO foods?
