Lab group preferences survey

Purpose of lab groups

In this course you will work with a lab group (3-4 students per group) on each lab. Learning to work with others is a key skill especially for science lab courses. For almost all college level science courses, you will have lab partners or groups. Labs are also a time to get hands-on learning, which is often most effective in teams, where you can help each other, challenge each other, and gauge your understanding together. 

You will have the same group for at least a few weeks. After the each unit, I will survey students about whether you would like to stay or switch groups. I will accommodate as many students as possible. 

Purpose of this survey

The purpose of this survey is to help me make the lab groups for the first unit of our class. 

I will do my best to match group members who share similar priorities. 

Please respond truthfully according to your best interests. I will not share your responses with other students.
