Timetable for Reading Materials and Exams - (all dates are close approximations)

Reading Material for Module #1  (100pts) -  Scarcity, Trade - Offs and Opportunity Costs

Week 1 - Limits, Alternatives, and Choices -  watch videos 1 - 17 ( approx 5 hrs)   (Chap 1,2), (2 hrs)

Week 2 - Watch videos #18 - #25 - (less than 4 hours) complete Production Possibilities Problems ( 1 hour)

Week 3 - Watch Videos 26 -29 (approx 4 hrs) -   complete assignment Calculating Opportunity Costs from PPC Data (2 - 3 hrs)

Week 4 -  Accounting vs Economic Profits -   Watch videos 30 - 33  (approx 15 minutes) -  Complete Corporate Profits Research Project (2hrs)  - read  (pages 141 - 143) (30 minutes)

Week 5 - Time value Money - Watch Videos 34- 37  (Approx 5 hrs) - Complete Time Value of Money Problems ( 2 hrs), read (Chap 13) 1 hour

Week 6 - Time Value of Money - watch videos 38 - 40 ( approx 15 minutes) - complete Discount to Present Value Problem - 1 hour

 

Total Time For Module # 1  - 24 hours videos/homework/reading + 9 hours Office Hour Videos + 2 hrs (Intelligence Squared Debate analysis) = 35 Hours Total 

If this were a face to - face course - 6 weeks in class listening to lectures = 18 hrs, and 6 weeks outside of class doing homework and/or reading the textbook and/or writing essays = 36 hours

Week 6 - International Trade - Watch Videos - (Chap 19)

Week 7 - Watch videos and complete comparative advantage practice problems

Week 8 - complete practice problems and complete practice exams

Total Time For Module #2 - 6.5 hrs ( all videos) + Homework Problems 5 hrs + Research Project 1 hr + Office Hours 4.5 hrs  + 2 hrs (Intelligence Squared Debate Analysis) = 19 hours total

If this were a face - to - face class - 9 hours in class listening to lectures and 18 hours outside of class doing homework, reading, writing essays = 27 hours total

 

Reading Material For Module #3 = (100 points) - Market Theory

Week 9 - watch market theory videos. (Chap 4)

Week 10 - complete videos and complete practice problems

Week 11 - complete practice problems and practice exams

Total Time For Module #3 -  14 hrs (watching all videos) + 7 hours (homework problems) + 4.5 hours (Office Hours) + 2 hrs (reading the textbook and explanations from colleges and universities) + 2 hrs (Intelligence Squared Debate Analysis) = 29.5 hours

If this were a face - to - face class - 9 hours in class listening to lectures + 18 hours outside of class doing homework, reading, writing essays = 27 hours total
