Course Materials
Book: The Career Fitness Program: Exercising Your Options; 11th Edition
Links to an external site. The Looseleaf version of the book on Amazon is the cheapest way to purchase this book. You can also rent it on Amazon for about a third of the cost of buying a bound brand new one. The book will be sold at the SRJC bookstores on both campuses and will also be on reserve in the library. You do have the option to buy the 10th edition, however the quizzes and book exercises are based on the 11th. It would just mean you would have to match up the correct exercises with the assignments, but it is possible to buy the cheaper 10th edition and complete the course.
Assessments: You must purchase two assessments: the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and Strong Interest Inventory/MBTI Career Report (Combined); for a total of $36. You must call the Accounting Department at the Santa Rosa Campus at 707-527-4973 to make your payment over the phone by credit card, and let them know you are calling to pay for materials in Amanda Greene’s class. Be sure to ask for a receipt to be emailed to you if possible. You must pay by the date specified in Canvas in order to receive instructions to take the assessments online. Then, you must take both assessments a couple weeks after this when they are assigned in your module. Rest assured that detailed directions on how to complete them will be sent to you in Canvas after you upload proof that you have taken them. Your results will be emailed to you at the appropriate time.
