This is the first time this class has been presented online. So I am okay with adjusting the material based on students' experiences. There are 36 student in the class.

Discussions and email show a few students frustrated with the Smart Book experience, and I assume a few other students who have said nothing.

About 30 students have not expressed any issues with Smart Book. But I did the Smart Book myself and do see the issues that have been expressed.

Potential Solution: I can make the Smart Book extra credit, and remove it from as a required assignment and graded homework. I would drop the point value from 150 points to 50 extra credit points for all smart book submissions.

I would increase the point value of other assignment, and/or may add additional graded assignments in future modules.

If I get 12 students to vote for making Smart Book extra credit, then I will.
