This practice quiz is based on the Lab #1: Basic Biological Concepts.   You may take this quiz as many times as you wish; questions will vary. The actual lab exam will have answers of mostly one or a few words (some are multiple choice).  For this quiz most questions are multiple choice to facilitate computer scoring.

Also, for short-answer/fill-in questions, you may have an acceptable answer that is nevertheless graded incorrect by the computer, if the wording isn't exactly the same as the key. When you review your answers, you'll see if yours are acceptable. (I am in the process of converting some fill-in/short answer questions to multiple choice to avoid this difficulty).
