- Due May 15, 2018 by 11:59pm
- Points 10
- Submitting a file upload
- File Types jpg, jpeg, png, and pdf
Description:
For this assignment, you will apply consistency, unity, proximity and negative space to your long page restaurant design. To create consistency use repetition of shape, line, font, color and icons. To apply proximity, think about information grouping and spacing. Pay close attention to negative space.
Instructions:
- Add any remaining text content, photos, graphics to your restaurant long page design.
- Apply the repetition principle (using shape, line, color, font icons etc.) to create a unified look and proximity principle to organize content.
Your design should demonstrate:
- Consistent use of color and font (e.g. consistent font, size and color for headings)
- Repetition of lines for separation or shape to contain content
- Use of icons for navigation (e.g. down arrows for scrolling) or visual interest (e.g. phone/mail/drop pin icons)
- Simplicity and negative space
Examples:
This example clearly demonstrates unity and repetition of color, font, line, icon (arrows) and shape (although this isn't a single page site). Notice the use of proximity and spacing to organize the content.
Here's another site with interesting use of shape and line:
