Module 9 Topic: Imagery (photos and illustrations)

Your designs have beautiful type and color, now let's add some dynamic images! As the saying goes: "A picture is worth a thousand words..." Photos and illustrations can make or break a site!

This Modules's Goals:

• Review the importance of imagery in web pages and discuss some basic web graphic production tips.
• Discuss how images can aid your design and layout.
• Explore image effects including Photoshop filters and edge effects
• Examine what makes a good image and how to select and crop photos.
   

Module 10 Topic: Fine Art Techniques and Texture

We're going to look at some ways you can add creativity to your designs by calling on techniques and elements from the world of fine art. 

This Modules's Goals:

• Learn about the elements used in fine art (such as line, shape etc.) and how they can be applied to screen design
• Discover the uses of fine art techniques like texture, perspective, value and rhythm.
