Module 7 Topics: Basic Color Theory and Technical Issues

Color theory is the focus of our material in this module. You'll learn some basic rules for working with color and using it tastefully in your designs.

This Module's Goals:

• Review 2 color models: additive and subtractive.
• Discuss basic web color theory.
• Discuss basic rules for color use and limitations of color on the screen.

 

Module 8 Topics: Being Creative with Color

We'll follow the color theory from the last module by looking at how color can be used to create mood and emotion but also for more practical purposes such as content organization and user interface. We will also create tasteful color palettes.

This Module's Goals:

• Explore the use of color to create mood and organize content.
• Discuss options for picking colors and developing successful color palettes.
