Instructions

DIRECTIONS:

Carefully read and follow the "Blue Book" guidelines from the assignment page. Again, remember there are length (1500 to 3000 words) and quality requirements. It is recommended that you thoughtfully compose your responses off line. Then, carefully "copy and paste" your responses for all Module #1 assignment tasks in the response box at the end of these directions and guidelines. Once working within the "Blue Book" response section, be sure to boldly label each Task # prior to discussing your learning. This way I will know which task you are writing about. This all sounds pretty simple and pretty obvious, but many students forget this, thus confusing the professor and/or his Teaching Assistant (TA) greatly!

The required tasks for this module assignment include:

Task #1.1 - (Overview) - Make a comment or two about this introduction.

Task #1.2 - Show you understand the many important aspects of the "Course Basics" link in the course "Syllabus." TIP: For all tasks be sure to provide enough written length so as to meet the total overall "word count" requirements as set forth in the "Course Basics" --- See "Grading Policy." Share a tip or two in what you learned from the "How To Study link in "Course Basics."

Task #1.3 - "Getting To Know You." This task was to be completed earlier in this course, as part of your required course "Check-In." If you have not yet completed it, go and complete this important homework assignment now --- just click on the blue hyperlink Module #0 - "New Class Check-In Discussion Board Post" [Graded Assignment] Be sure to copy and paste your response here in this homework assignment --- that is here in HW Task #1.3. PLEASE NOTE completion of this task is NOT considered [not counted] in your overall total word count for HW #1.

Task #1.4 - Show you understand what is expected from you while enrolled in an online class here at SRJC. TIP: Demonstrate you understand fully what is expected by reviewing the three links provided (in Section 1.4 of Module Assignment #1) and then highlighting key points in your writing.

Task #1.5 - Explain in tightly worded writing, what you learned from exploring this website(s). Be sure to discuss some hightlights. TIP: "Tightly worded" means to be concise, to the point, and focused in your writing---no fluff or BS, no long "quotes" from webites, etc.

Task #1.6 - After reviewing link(s), demonstrate in your wriiting what you have observed and/or learned.

Task #1.7 - Demonstrate and show through your written discussion that you have reviewed both the textbooks used in this course. Provide an outline what the textbooks contain and how they are laid out.

Task #1.8 - Discuss what you have learned in the "Head Candy" section.

Task #1.9 - List here the three or more Module #1, workbook readings and exercises that might be helpful to review and that might go well with this overall homework assignment. List them by title and page number. This is not to be confused with the 16 workbook assignments all students must submit later in the course.

Please note this task does not count towards your word count or length, so don't place anything in this space other than workbook exercise name and page number.

Task #1.10 - Remember a minimum response of 250 to 350 words (minimum 500 words or more) if seeking bonus points is required for each Course Discussion Board "Thought Provoking Question" (TPQ) or (Article). Please remember that students are expected to post a response to each of the 15 homework assignment "thought-provoking" questions or articles ON the "Course Discussion Board." Each TPQ is worth 10 points. Do not send copies to me, just post the TPQs on the "Course Discussion Board." However in the 2 required module home work (HW) assignments that all students must submit, be sure you also "copy and paste" a copy of your discussion board responses with each of the 2 fully completed module homework assignments  too.
