After reading, Native American Women (you only have to watch the first video) and Prostitution in Early Chinese Communities, and watching In the White Man's Image, answer the following questions:

1.   Describe the lives of Native American women and Chinese women in the 19th century.   Be sure to include examples of women acted powerfully and examples of when they were abused.

2. Explain how assimilation played a role in each group's lives.
