INSTRUCTIONS
This assignment gives you a chance to take a “guided tour” of key resources and terms relating to the Business of Acting, including career preparation. In each case, give yourself time to "tour" the website. Several require membership to view many of the contents, but there are lots of great stuff to look at without needing a membership to start. Make notes about what you learned while looking at each of the sites.

Look at the website for one professional theatre that you’d be interested in working for someday. See if the website gives information on how they do their casting, and when they would normally conduct auditions. (PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE THEATRE TO FIND OUT.)

The following are three common positions that you might encounter if looking for acting employment. Do a bit of online research and find out a simple answer to each of the following positions, as well as noting how they are different from one another.

Casting Director:
What is a casting director and what do they do?
How can an actor contact a casting director?
Artistic Director:
What is a (theatrical) artistic director and what do they do?
How can an actor contact an artistic director?
VII. FUTURE EMPLOYMENT - ACTOR JOB BOARDS: (5 minutes)
