THAR 10B: SCRIPT for Classmate Portrayal
INSTRUCTIONS
You will be creating a 2-minute monologue script by transcribing a specific selection from the stories and conversations you've had with your partners. Make sure to capture the way your classmate speaks as accurately as possible, including word choice, phrasing, sentence structure, and nonverbals. (It is okay to piece together sections of conversation or edit down a longer piece, if necessary. Just make sure it is your partner's words you are using. (Please do not rewrite your classmate's words, have your partner write the monologue, or try to write the monologue yourself.)
DRAFT - Due Feb. 18 (or sooner)
Prepare a draft of your written script at least a week before the Classmate Portrayal performance date so you have time to memorize and rehearse the monologue confidently. While you are not required to submit your draft here, you are welcome to do so if you'd like my feedback about your script.
FINAL SCRIPT - Due Feb. 25
After rehearsing and memorizing your script, enter your final version here. (If you have already entered your draft, you can make revisions to the draft or you can overwrite the draft with the final script.)
