THAR 10B: Physical Profile
INSTRUCTIONS
Conduct a detailed analysis of your own physical attributes, mannerisms, patterns, and habits, inspired by the criteria from the textbook (Ch. 3). In addition to your self-study, I encourage you to gather feedback from friends, relatives, and/or other acquaintances.
This information will result in your written profile (a minimum of 2 pgs. or approx. 750 words). Enter your Physical Profile in the Text Entry box or create a separate file and upload it; I strongly encourage you to do the latter, as you will be able to compile it much more easily than using the Text Entry box.
Format: The format is fairly flexible; you can arrange your Physical Profile in narrative paragraphs, lists, or bullet points. However, it should be typed and detailed. Make sure you arrange your physical analysis in categories as discussed in Ch. 3 of your textbook (including Influences, Adaptations, and Cultural Binding.
Who Will Read Your Profile?: After submission, your completed Physical Profile will only be read by your Classmate Portrayal partner(s) after they are assigned, as well as your instructor. (You can send a copy directly to your partner(s), but I will also assign your partner(s) as your assignment "reviewer(s)", which allows them to see it right on Canvas, regardless of whether you uploaded a file or typed it into the Text Entry box.)
One piece of advice as you prepare your Physical Profile: Think of this...another actor (someone who doesn't know you) should be able to pick up your Physical Profile, read it without having ever met you, and be able to create a fairly accurate portrayal of your physical appearance, habits, and movements by reading and following the details in your Profile. Help the reader "see" you!
