Personal Yoga Practice Assignment (slo)

Create a 15-Minute Personal Practice

THIS IS A PRACTICE YOU CAN DO AT HOME, THAT WILL IMPROVE YOUR FLEXIBILITY, STRENGTH, BALANCE, AND COORDINATION, 

  1. Name the focus of your practice
  2. Choose and write 10-15 Asanas (or a flow series) include breathing cues (when you inhale, exhale for each pose) 
  3. Choose one breathing (pranayama) technique
  4. Choose 1 type of meditation
  5. Explain why you chose your selections

Think about if there is an area of the body you would like of focus on (for example: hip openers or low back and if you'd like your practice to be more relaxing (gentle) or vigorous.  Number your responses in the assignment. 

To submit your assignments, you may type in the text entry box or attach a file once you have clicked on the blue "Start Assignment" button in the upper right hand corner. The Canvas Student Guide provides instructions for submitting an online assignment.  If you are attaching a file it must be a pdf or word document. Google documents don't work well in canvas.  You can convert a google document to a pdf to submit, follow the instructions here: How to convert a google document to a pdf
