Summary - Week 9

We learned more about the nutrition implications of another disease state: kidney disease. Truly one of the most complicated therapeutic diets.

Recap

This week we learned a lot about the progression of kidney disease and how that impacts nutrient needs along the way. We learned more about dietary limits on sodium, potassium, and phosphorus. Also, we discovered how relevant accurate  I/O charting is to monitor fluid balance and overall nutrition status for CKD and all our patients.
