Activity: Week 5 - Cultural Diets
- Due Feb 11 by 6pm
- Points 10
Description:
This week we will start a little differently to present cultural dietary practices. You will present a specific cultural dietary pattern, you will need to research your cultural diet and then answer the prompt in a 3-minute share (mini-presentation) on Zoom.
Purpose:
- To expand your knowledge base on different cultures and nutrition-related practices, so that you will be more capable of assessing individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Help you become more comfortable with presenting in this class.
What to gain:
- What are the cultural considerations you need to make for these individual diets?
- What are some common foods to include?
- What foods (if any) are generally avoided?
- What rules or customs does this group have?
