This week we learned all about carbohydrates, what foods we find them in, what their function is in the body, how much we need to eat each day and what happens if you don't have enough. We also learned about Diabetes and how that is related to carbohydrates that you consume.

Next week we will start learning about fats. We will learn about the different types of fats and all their functions in the body. We will also learn about Heart Disease. Here is a short video on the Mediterranean Diet which has been proven to lower your risk for heart disease.
