Directions:
This assignment uses online maps to find latitude and longitude. If you aren't cheating, and are finding the locations or the latitude and longitude using the assigned maps, you will not be able to give me minutes and seconds or a decimal. If you use minutes or seconds or a decimal in your answers I will mark the answer wrong. Please only used the assigned maps. These maps are: Maps of the World Links to an external site. and the CIA Maps Links to an external site.. This assignment should not be completed using your phone..... you need the larger screen of a computer.
Answer these questions directly in Canvas. If you need assistance to turn in this assignment, review Unit 0.21 "Turning in Assignments".
For questions 1 -3, name the city, mountain, island or other distinctive place found at each of the listed positions. You will be using the "Maps of the World" Links to an external site. online map to locate in what country the location is and then you will be using the appropriate, detailed "CIA Map" Links to an external site. to find the very specific latitude and longitude. When you use the CIA maps, select the Physiography Maps - they contain latitude and longitude. This is tedious but not difficult.
