Latex Mold Example 1
Below are photos of the end-product of the relief carving project.
In the first photo you can see the original carving (brown clay), and next to it the the mother mold, made of plaster, which holds the latex mold, and the resulting casting (white plaster).
The second photo shows the process of removing the casting from the molds; first, the latex mold and carving are removed together from the mother mold, and then the latex mold is removed from the original carving.
Lastly, the two photos below compare the original carving (left) to the final casting (right).
