Maquette Project
- Due No Due Date
- Points 10
- Submitting on paper
Over the course of two days, produce a minimum of five maquettes in simple media that develop your theme very quickly. In this project, there is no time for subtlety or finickiness. The purpose of this exercise is to allow you to make immediate decisions about form. Further this process deliberately forces you to focus on general ideas, and to minimize preciousness.
If the maquettes are made from water-based clay, make sure they are small enough that they can dry out without cracking. You may use the quick medium or media of your own choosing that best helps you develop your ideas.
At the end of this project, you must have five or more maquettes that can show how your ideas are developing.
Your maquettes will be group critiqued, and displayed in the hallway cases while you work on your larger, more realized pieces.
