Evolution of viruses Question 1

    • The SARS CoV 2 virus acquires ~ 2 mutations/month.
    • What type of mutations would be beneficial for the virus ? (answer in general terms, as we did in class)
    • What do you call a trait that increases the survival and reproduction of a virus?
    • What will happen to the population of the virus as a result of these type of mutations?
