This module discussed the meal and rests break requirements that all employers must meet. Understanding California's meal and rest break requirements are extremely important.
Remember, to comply with these rules, employers should do everything possible to communicate the legal requirements of California's employee break laws to nonexempt workers and must provide them opportunities to take meal and rest breaks.
Employers must also be able to show they complied by keeping accurate records of meal breaks through a time-stamped recordkeeping system,
