In this module, we explored other types of wages and pay different from salary or per hour rates for services even if the employee is a casual worker, a day or contract laborer, part-time or temporary worker, or paid by the day, hour, or any other method of measurement.

Looking Ahead

In the next module, we will discuss the many factors that come into play when calculating pay.  HR professionals must be aware of the timekeeping practices that render accurate paychecks. This includes understanding accurate timekeeping practices and recording of all time worked within designated time periods.
