Overview

In this module, you will be learning about another nutrient, Fats! We will learn all the different types of fats and which ones you should include in your diet for health.  We will also be learning about cholesterol and heart disease and how these fats can help or hurt your heart.

Upon completing this module, you'll be able to:

  • Describe the sources, intake recommended for well-being, including results of over and
    under consumption, for the following:
          b. lipids
  •  Relate the importance of good nutrition to quality of life and describe the long term damage
     to the body caused by poor nutrition including chronic diseases such as cardiovascular
     disease
