- Points 50
You are a screenwriter AND a salesperson. Here's your opportunity to pitch your story to the class; two minutes of less, more or less.
Draft a a one-to-two minute pitch and be ready to verbally pitch in front of class during our next session. NO NOTES!
I suggest you practice in front of a mirror and friends/family. Instead of memorizing, just know your story in your heart and tell it from there..
The Art of Pitching in Ten Steps:
1.Introduce yourself
2.Your connection to story
3.Project format (i.e feature, episodic)
4.Genre/Tone
5.“Nutshell” or Logline
6.What makes the story universal?
7.Who are we going to meet?
8.What is the goal of the protagonist
9.What’s stopping them?
10.What’s the lesson? Takeaway?
