Doyle 2nd Floor Digital Media Suites

The DMS rooms and workstations are open to SRJC students enrolled in SRJC Digital Media classes or who have been approved for access by Digital Media faculty members. Rooms and workstations in the suites are equipped with technology used for Digital Media creation and listening/viewing. Please hover over the Information image next to a room for more information about technology and equipment availability.
 

Policies

  • All persons need to log in at the Tech Gear Desk (2nd floor) before and after each session. (Map of Tech Gear Desk location Links to an external site.)
  • Room/workstation reservations for blocks of up to 3 hours/day can be made per person. A block consists of the total number of half hour increments selected upon reservation.
  • Reservations must be made at least 1 hour in advance of the scheduled time. Drop-in reservations are possible, please ask at the Tech Gear Desk, 2nd floor Doyle library.
  • You must arrive within the first ten minutes of the reservation start time or the entire block of time is forfeited. If forfeited, the room reverts to first-come, first-served basis for that full block.
  • All persons entering any DMS room or workstation area must first check in at the Tech Gear desk with their SRJC student ID. Non-SRJC persons must provide a valid photo ID and check in as well.
  • All DMS room/workstation users must begin the process to check out and return all borrowed equipment 15 minutes prior to end of reservation period.

Equipment

 

The following is a sample of equipment available for checkout and use in the DMS. Other equipment is permanently installed in each room, see specific rooms/workstations for details:

  • Virtual Reality Wands
  • Microphones
  • SD Cards for Video Cameras
  • Camera

 

How to Reserve a Room/Workstation:

Book a room by selecting the green time slots. Each is 30 minutes long. You may reserve up to three hours per day. You will receive a confirmation notice at the email address you provide. If you cannot find it, please check your spam or junk folder. You may cancel the reservation from within the confirmation email.
