Meet the Instructor

Welcome to Biology 16! I have always been focused on student success and learning, but  around 10  years ago I  spent my sabbatical studying the research on learning, memory and science education. As a result of that work, I decided to create Biology 16- a course that was focused specifically on students who weren't majoring in biology or health sciences. The goal of this course is to teach you

  • Basic principles of biology
  • How the process of science works
  • How to apply both of these to current issues in biology
  • Teach you how to continue to learn about science and biology
