Drop end loops link an upper mobile wire to a lower one. If this parallel design is used in combination with a mid-loop, the two wires will lay perpendicular to one another when at rest.

Perpendicular Drop End Loop

Calder - perpendicular loop.jpg When this perpendicular design is used in combination with a mid-loop, the two wires will lay parallel to one another when at rest. This happens because the two loops act like links in a chain and each link runs perpendicular to the next.

Centered Loop

Centered loops are used to link between drop loops and mid-loops when a horizontal wire element is desired. The centered design hangs straight and aligned for a clean appearance. The loop can be on one end or both.

Mid-Loop and Double Mid-Loop

This type of loop is positioned at the pivot point of a wire where it needs to be suspended from an upper wire. The concept can also incorporate a lower loop when another wire needs to hang below. The two loops in the double mid-loop can be positioned aligned to one another or shifted to other desired locations.

Thin Wire Center Loop over Thick Wire

When a wire is too difficult to bend into a loop, a smaller gauge, more malleable wire can be wrapped around the thicker or harder wire to create a positional loop. The wrap needs to be tight to prevent the added loop from sliding along the wire and out of position. A small dent in the thicker wire adjacent to this loop will prevent it from getting misaligned. Also, a drop of cyanoacrylate or epoxy can fix it in place.
