This week introduces you to elementary concepts, including terminology, basic models, media levels, and dimensions. You'll also digest the textbook author's "Seven Secrets About the Media". The next chapter in Unit/Week 1 discusses how media effect us, as individuals, as well as, society. Several classic media effects theories will be presented. When you finish this unit, you'll be ready to delve into the many facets of mass media.
