Getting Started Overview

In this "Getting Started" module, you will familiarize yourself with online learning expectations for this course and get to know your classmates. This module gives you the chance to "test run" the course, ask questions, and have fun!

Objectives

On completing this module, you'll be able to:

• Navigate the course
• Locate resources for online students
• Learn how to navigate Padlet and use Pronto
• Create a Journal Post and interact with classmates in the "About Us" Padlet

What You Need To Do

To reach the goals for this module, you'll need to complete the following activities:

1. • Read the Syllabus, if you haven't already. There is always a link in the navigation bar on the left for reference.
   • Read to see if you're technology & resource ready
   • Open your Account and set your profile, including the notifications
   • Download or print the class calendar. Or refer to it often. There is a tool on the right side of the calendar (link on the left margin) for the calendar feed. Adding the deadlines to your phone is essential to get reminders for deadlines. Since we have these tools now, we should use them.
   • Register for and attend an Introductory Online Meeting (Monday, 6/17 or Tuesday, 6/18)
   • Post your Journal response in the "About Us" Padlet
