Instructions

During the semester, you will be assigned an article from the news to read that relates to the material we will be covering that week. The goal is

- - to help you to learn about applications of the course material
  - to help you explore the type of work that biologists do
  - to improve your ability to participate in professional discussions.

This survey is intended to get you thinking about what makes a good discussion question before we read our first article for the class.

You will receive credit for completing this survey but will not be graded on the correctness of your answers.

Note: normally assignments are due at 8:30AM but since this is your first day of class, this is due at midnight.
