January 16th Hello

Hi everyone, 

Welcome to the first day of the Spring 2024 semester.  I'll be checking my email and Canvas inbox, looking for any questions you have about the syllabus and its policies, the Canvas-based class site and its resources, or our class material.  For example, starting today, I'll keep repeating that this is a skills class.  It's important to recognize our goal is learning Critical Thinking skills.  As you think about how you're going to study for this course, keep that in mind. I'll say more about that over the days and weeks ahead.  For now, welcome, and let me know if you have any questions. I'll respond to your messages within 24 hours, usually much faster.
