Note: In order to receive full credit for this presentation you must: attend both classes on May 13 and May 15 and submit your presentation notes/outline and visual aid by Monday, 5/13 at 10:30a.m.
Directions: For your final (exam) project you will apply a Human Relations topic(s) to any business. You may choose any business large or small so long as you have the ability to learn about them. You will learn about the business and research their application of your chosen 1-3 Human Relations topics, learned this semester: self-concept, self-esteem attitude, values, motivation, communication, groups, teams, individual/organizational change, stress management business ethics.
The idea for this presentation is to learn about their Human Relations applications (concepts you've learned) to organize, strategize, manage/lead, or how they treat their employees and ultimately, their customers. For example, if you choose to focus on organizational culture then you would want to research American businesses that have strong organizational cultures and choose one of the businesses to describe, define and analyze the organizational culture of the business. Or, you may choose to focus on the organizational culture of a local or small business that you are knowledgeable of.
Assignment instructions:
- Choose 1-3 human relations topics and research businesses via the topic(s)
- Create a 5-7 minute presentation that 1) describes the business and 2) define, describe and analyze the human relations topic(s) that you chose to the business. For example, if you chose organizational culture then choose a business and define, describe and analyze their organizational culture.
- You must use an electronic visual aid: slides. Be creative with your slides including any relevant information, images or graphics that are relevant to your topic.
