ESL 371/781 U2 Brainstorm and Outline

Brainstorm:

On the first page, copy your brainstorm from the Writing Packet, p. 8. You will use this brainstorm to write your outline. 

Outline:

Follow the steps to complete an outline for a paragraph about an invention.

Note: You can use your notes from p. 10 in the Writing Packet.

• Step 1: From your Writing Packet supporting ideas work on pp.5+6 and brainstorming notes on p. 8, choose an innovation to write about. Write the name of the invention in your outline.
• Step 2: Write a topic sentence for your paragraph.
• Step 3: Think of 3 ways this invention has improved and/or changed people’s lives. Write them in the outline as supporting ideas. Don’t write complete sentences.
• Step 4: Write 2 or more details for each supporting idea. Don’t write complete sentences.

Click on the Google Doc link to make a copy and save the file to Google Drive. After you type and save your outline, click the blue button and choose your file (from Google Drive) to submit it to this assignment.
