Pat's Communication Policy

  • I will respond to emails and phone messages within 24 hours, M-F. I will respond by 5pm Monday to emails received after 5pm on Friday.
  • Students, please  resend your email if I don’t respond in the above time frame.
  • I will grade written assignments within one week and discussions and online workbooks within 3 days after they are due.

Student Contact with Pat

  • You can contact me using the email and voicemail information posted on the course homepage, in the syllabus, and in the orientation module. 
  • You can post questions, concerns, or problems in the general Q and A discussion in the Getting Started in Canvas Module to get feedback from other students or me. 
  • You may come to my Zoom office hours (Monday 5:00--6:00 pm in the ESL Office, 2090 Lark Hall) to talk with me privately, email me for an appointment, or talk to me after class. 

Pat's Contact with Students

  • I will send announcements once or twice a week to clarify issues that come up in the general Q and A discussions, to remind students of upcoming deadlines, and to fix any confusion that may happen.
  • I will dedicate 10 minutes at the beginning of each Zoom session to answer students’ questions regarding tech or content problems.
